Featured Projects
SYRRIUS BANK hosts two kinds of campaigns, and the first thing to work out is which one fits what you’re building:
- Reward campaign — backers give and receive a counterpart in return (a product, a perk, an experience, recognition).
- Simple donation campaign — supporters give freely, with nothing offered in return beyond your gratitude and updates on the project.
If you’re not sure which one is right for you, that’s normal — many creators actually end up combining both: reward tiers for backers who want the product, alongside an open donation option for people who simply believe in the project.
Quick self-check — five questions to ask before you build your page:
- Is there a real, identifiable outcome? A book, a film, a device, a building, a farm, a solar installation, a scholarship program — something concrete that supporters can point to. Vague ideas with no clear deliverable don’t qualify.
- Can you be honest and specific about it? You’ll need to show real work — a prototype for a physical product, or clear documentation of how donations will be used. Renders, mockups, or projections presented as if they were finished results are not allowed.
- Are you asking for the right kind of support? Only donations are accepted on SYRRIUS BANK — with a counterpart (reward campaign) or without (simple donation). What you cannot offer, under any form, is a financial return: no interest, no equity, no revenue share, and no investment promise tucked into a reward tier. Investment-style fundraising is not available on the platform.
- Does your sector or reward type show up on our restricted list? Check our Prohibited Rewards and Restricted Sectors Annex — weapons, gambling, narcotics, pornographic content, and a handful of other categories are excluded from both campaign types.
- Can you register your legal identity? Every campaign needs a verified creator name — an identified individual or a legally registered organization that takes responsibility for the campaign and the delivery of any promised rewards.
If you answered yes to all five, you’re in good shape. Still unsure about something specific — an unusual reward, a sector that seems to sit in a grey area? Reach out to our team before you build your page. It’s much easier to sort out a question up front than after you’ve invested time in a campaign that needs to be reworked.
For the complete picture, read Our Rules (the five essential rules that govern every campaign) before publishing.
A soft launch means sharing your campaign with a small, trusted circle before you go public — and it’s one of the highest-leverage things you can do before asking the whole internet to pay attention.
Why bother?
- You catch confusing wording, missing information, or a weak video while the audience is forgiving and small.
- Early donations create social proof: a campaign sitting at 0% feels risky to a stranger; one already at 15–20% feels like it’s actually happening.
- You collect real reactions and quotes you can reuse later — in updates, in your pitch to journalists, or in your outreach to a wider audience.
- Your first supporters often become your best ambassadors: people who gave early — with or without a reward — are the most likely to share your campaign when you go public, precisely when that first wave of visibility matters most.
How to do it, step by step:
- Finish your page to about 90%. Story, budget, images, video, FAQ — and if you offer rewards, clear tiers with honest delivery estimates. It doesn’t need to be perfect, but it needs to be complete enough for a stranger — or a close friend acting as one — to understand it without you in the room.
- Share the preview/unlisted link with 15–30 people who know you or trust your judgment: close friends, past collaborators, people in your professional network, early supporters. Don’t post it publicly yet — a soft launch stays private by design.
- Ask two things of each person: honest feedback on anything confusing, and — if they’re genuinely interested — an early donation, whether they pick a reward or simply give to support the project. A short personal message works far better here than a mass email.
- Fix what needs fixing. If three people ask the same question, add the answer to your FAQ or your description. If people stall at a certain reward tier, look at whether the value is clear enough; if free donations stay low, check that your story makes the impact of a simple gift tangible.
- Set a momentum target before going wide — many creators aim for 20–30% of their goal from the soft launch alone. Once you’re there, you have both a stronger page and real numbers to point to when you open things up to press, social media, and your broader network.
One practical note on timing: every campaign goes through our standard review before it can accept donations — even in private preview. Build in time for that validation before you plan your soft-launch window.
Getting someone to open your campaign page is only step one. Here’s what actually moves people from “interesting” to “I’m in.”
Make the ask impossible to miss. Visitors decide whether to stay on your page within seconds. Your main image or video, your one-line pitch, and your primary call-to-action (the donate button) need to be immediately clear — don’t make people scroll to figure out what you’re asking for.
Lead with a video, not just text. Campaigns with a clear, well-made video consistently convert better than text-only pages. It doesn’t need high production value — it needs a real person, speaking plainly, showing real work.
Remove hesitation before it happens. Every unanswered question is a reason to leave without giving. Add a visible FAQ section addressing the things people always ask: for reward campaigns, delivery timelines and shipping; for donation campaigns, exactly how the money will be used and what impact each gift makes. Answer comments quickly — a campaign where the creator replies within hours reads as active and trustworthy; one with unanswered questions from a week ago reads as abandoned.
Show, don’t just claim. Back your campaign with something real: photos or footage of your prototype rather than renders, evidence of the work already done, a clear breakdown of where the money goes. “Strong potential” convinces no one — specificity builds trust; vagueness kills it.
Use social proof deliberately. A progress bar that’s visibly moving, a donor count, a few genuine comments from early supporters — all of this tells a new visitor “other people already decided this was worth it.” This is exactly why the soft-launch approach above matters so much: it gives you real proof to show, instead of an empty campaign.
Personalize your outreach. A short, specific message to someone who might genuinely care converts far better than a mass blast to everyone you’ve ever met. Reference something you actually know about the person you’re contacting.
Create — don’t manufacture — urgency. A visible deadline is a legitimate reason for someone to act now instead of “later” (which often means never). Don’t fake scarcity, but do make your actual deadline and actual funding progress visible and easy to find.
Optimize for mobile. A large share of your traffic will come from social media on a phone. If your video doesn’t load fast or your page is a pain to read on a small screen, you’ll lose people before they ever see your pitch.
Keep talking after they arrive. Regular, honest updates — including the awkward ones, like a delay or a challenge you’re facing — keep existing donors engaged and give you fresh content to share, which brings in new visitors on an ongoing basis rather than just in the first 48 hours.
If you’re the creator:
- The fastest route is your account dashboard — log in and go to “My Projects.” Every campaign you’ve created, whether still in draft, in preview, or already live, is listed there with a direct link.
- Before your campaign is public, it exists as an unlisted preview link — this is what you share during a soft launch (see article 2 above). It won’t show up in search, and it won’t appear on your public profile, until you launch it.
- Once live, your campaign has a permanent link you can find on the campaign page itself (look for the “Share” button) or, again, from your dashboard.
- Campaigns still under review won’t have a public link yet — this is expected. You’ll be notified as soon as the review is complete and your page goes live or moves to preview.
If you’re a donor looking for a campaign you’ve supported:
- Check the confirmation email you received when you gave — it contains a direct link.
- Log in and check your account’s “Supported Projects” section — every campaign you’ve backed, with or without a reward, is listed there.
- You can also use the search bar on syrriusbank.com and search by project name or creator name — this works for any campaign that’s currently live.
A few common reasons a campaign seems to have “disappeared”:
- It’s still in draft or preview and hasn’t been launched publicly yet — only people with the direct link can see it.
- It reached its campaign end date — completed campaigns are archived but remain accessible through your dashboard or account, just not through general search.
- You’re logged into the wrong account — if you have more than one email address, double-check which one you used.
- A typo in the URL — campaign links are case-sensitive and specific; searching by name is more forgiving than guessing a link.
What They Are Saying

SOVEREIGN TRANSITION: FROM DONOR TO BUILDER
Stop subsidizing Africa.
Back its builders instead.
Syrrius Bank’s mission is to unlock African financial sovereignty by giving individuals and institutions direct control over capital, investment, and project financing. We are building a borderless crowdfunding ecosystem where African ideas are funded by African capital, for African impact.
A premium crowdfunding platform designed for contributors who want to transform an act of passive support into meaningful, tangible impact—by supporting concrete projects through donations, with or without rewards.
Syrrius Bank was born from a simple reality: its founders experienced firsthand the difficulty of accessing financing for ambitious projects in Africa. What started as a personal challenge became a collective solution—building a platform designed to make funding more accessible, transparent, and aligned with African realities.
- Shifting from aid dependency to empowered participation: replacing traditional donor-driven support with a community-powered approach—where donations, with or without rewards, directly fund concrete projects and tangible outcomes rather than open-ended causes.
- Turning supporters into contributors: enabling Africans to support impactful projects through donations, with or without rewards
- Redirecting external support into local value creation: transforming donations into productive, locally driven projects and sustainable impact
- Creating impact through contribution, not assistance: empowering people to support meaningful projects through donations, with or without rewards.
- Reclaiming financial sovereignty through ownership structures: ensuring capital control stays within African ecosystems
